What makes a guitar kit high quality?
The company behind it. For more than 10 years we have kept improving our kits, from the design to the packaging. The kits on this page are made to our own specifications and arrive with the body already routed and the frets already installed. Our name is on that workmanship, literally: it is stamped where the neck meets the body. And builders rate each of these kits 4.5 stars or higher.
What comes in the kit?
The body, the neck, pickups, electronics and hardware. You add basic tools and the finish of your choice.
Can a first-time builder do this?
Most of our customers are building their first guitar. Each product page shows how hard that kit is to build, our free build course shows every step on video, and our builder success team answers your questions along the way.
Where do these kits ship from, and how long does delivery take?
Kits in our US warehouse ship to US addresses and typically arrive in 1 to 2 weeks. Kits from our international warehouse typically take 4 to 6 weeks to reach the US. Each product page shows which warehouse a kit ships from.
Is shipping free?
Yes, on every order to the contiguous US, and US orders pay no customs duties or import taxes. We also offer free shipping on select kits to over 100 countries from our international warehouse. Checkout shows whether it applies to you.
What if a part arrives damaged or defective?
Damaged, defective or missing parts are covered for 30 days from receipt. Send us a photo and we will send a free replacement part, refund part of the cost so you can source it locally, or refund the kit in full for a major defect. Unopened, unused kits can be returned for a full refund within 14 days.
