Shipping policy

Our in-stock DIY guitar kits are shipped from warehouses in the United States and China using UPS, FedEx, or Express Mail Service (EMS).

All our Custom Shop kits are shipped from Shandong, China.

Current estimated delivery times are shown on the product listing pages. Please be aware that in almost all cases, our guitar kits are delivered successfully and within the specified time frame. Should there be conditions that delay the delivery due to regulations in your country, delivery times may be longer than indicated.

Where does Guitar Kit World ship?

We ship our products to over 100 countries.

Please note for international orders there are factors outside of our control including how long the destination country holds stock when inspecting before allowing to be imported.

Once your guitar kit arrives in the destination country, Guitar Kit World no longer assumes any responsibility for the delivery. If a delivery has been unsuccessful it is recommended that you contact your local post office.

Please be aware that in some instances if left undelivered for a specified period your guitar kit may be sent back to us. If this does occur we will be happy to keep you updated and arrange return delivery, however, all costs would then be the responsibility of the customer and not Guitar Kit World.

Unfortunately, we must inform you that shipping to PO Box or APO/FPO/DPO addresses is not available at this moment.

Free Shipping

We are pleased to offer free shipping on select products featured on the "DIY Guitar Kits from International Warehouse" page to over 100 countries. To determine if your country is eligible for free shipping, simply add a product to your cart and check the checkout page to see if the free shipping option is available.

Additionally, we provide free shipping on all orders over $45 for our customers in the contiguous United States.

Custom Shop Orders

Please be aware that the stated delivery period is approximate only. Whilst every effort will be made to deliver your Custom Shop kit within or close to this period, occasionally some orders may take longer to produce.

We request your patience and trust that your guitar kit will be well worth the wait.

Customs Duties, Import Taxes & Local Fees

Shipments to some countries may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or other local fees as determined by your country’s customs authorities.

These charges depend on your location and the value of your order. For an estimate, we suggest contacting your local customs office or using a free tool like: simplyduty.com.

Please note that these fees are not covered by Guitar Kit World and must be paid by the customer.

If your package is returned to us due to non-payment of these charges or failure to claim the parcel, a USD $80 handling fee will be deducted from your refund to cover return shipping and processing costs. For full details, see our Return Due to Unpaid Customs Duties section.
