What first-time builders say about us on Trustpilot

It was my first time building a guitar. The kit was very well made with a very tight neck joint. The neck was also very well made with polished frets. The electronics were easy to run with all the connections already soldered. The body was very nice and just needed minimal sanding before finishing.

This being my very first electric guitar build I am happy to report that the only tools required for this job were sandpaper, a soldering iron, a wrench, and a small screwdriver.
Jeffrey HallVerified review on Trustpilot · United States
The parts were high quality, and the instructions were easy to follow... The build process was actually a lot of fun, and the finished guitar came out far better than I expected... If you’re thinking about building your first guitar, I highly recommend this kit.

In particular, customer support is excellent with Guitar Kit World. That’s what sets your kits apart from a couple of others that I have tried. Mostly the others have little to no support. But particularly on my first GLW kit, questions that arose were taken very seriously and the responses were excellent.

Why people stall

Three things stop most first-time builders. None of them is money.

If you are curious about building a guitar but have not pulled the trigger, it is almost certainly one of these. The course settles all three before you spend anything.

"I am not sure which kit to buy."

Body shape, neck joint, pickups, scale length, solderless or not. Every choice sounds important and none of them are explained anywhere you can actually use. So people pick by picture, and some of them pick wrong.

Watch a full build of the one you are considering. You will know in twenty minutes whether it is the guitar you want.

"I am not sure I could actually build it."

This is the real one. Nobody wants a half-built guitar in a closet and money they cannot get back.

So watch the whole job first. Every step, in order, including the parts that go wrong and how they get fixed. Then decide.

"I do not even know what tools I would need."

Most people picture a workshop full of machinery. Watch the build and you see exactly what comes out of the toolbox at each step, and how much of it is already in your house.

No guessing, and no shopping list you have to take our word for. You just watch someone do it.

The honest version

What is the catch?

None. We sell guitar kits. That is our business.

We would rather you find out now that a build is not for you than find out after the box arrives. That costs us a sale we were never really going to keep, and it costs you a bad weekend.

So watch first. If you decide you want one, we will point you at the kit that matches what you watched. If you decide not to, keep the videos.
