Hollow & Semi-hollow Body Guitar Kits

Our semi-hollow and hollow body guitar kits produce a warm, resonant tone that solid body guitars cannot match. The air chamber inside the body adds natural acoustic character to the electric sound, giving you a rounder attack and more complex overtones. These kits are favorites among jazz, blues, rockabilly, and indie players.

Building a semi-hollow kit is a step up from a basic solid body build. The body construction is more involved, with a center block, arched top, and f-holes that require careful handling during finishing. The reward is an instrument with real visual presence and a voice that sits beautifully in a mix.

Each semi-hollow kit includes a laminated or carved arched top body with a center block, a set or bolt-on neck, two humbucker pickups, a tune-o-matic style bridge, a trapeze or stop tailpiece, and all electronics. The center block reduces feedback at higher volumes while preserving the airy, woody character that makes semi-hollow guitars so distinctive.
