Yes. Many of our builders are first-timers. Every kit has a difficulty rating from 1 to 10 on its product page, so you can pick one that matches your experience. Most kits arrive with frets installed and the routing already done, so no woodworking is required. Blank-body kits are the exception (the body is not pre-shaped), so check the product page. If you get stuck, email support@guitarkitworld.com and we usually reply within 1 to 3 business days.

Most of our standard kits include a body, a neck with frets installed, hardware (bridge, tuners, knobs, strap buttons), pickups, electronics, strings, and an Allen wrench. Contents vary by kit: body blanks are not pre-shaped, and Custom Shop kits can be tailored (for example ordered without hardware), so check the product page for exactly what your kit includes. You supply a few basics: sandpaper, a screwdriver, a soldering iron for the wiring, and your choice of finish.

Yes, we ship to over 100 countries. Free shipping is available on U.S. orders and on many international kits, with eligible options shown at checkout for your location. In-stock international orders typically arrive in 2 to 6 weeks, and our U.S. warehouse ships within the U.S. in 1 to 2 weeks. Pre-order and Custom Shop kits take longer, with the timeline shown on the product page. If your order ships to a U.S. address, you pay no customs duties or import taxes, whether your kit ships from our U.S. warehouse or our international warehouse. Orders to other countries may be subject to customs duties or import taxes, which are the buyer's responsibility.

It depends on which warehouse fulfills your kit, shown on the product page before you buy. Orders from our U.S. warehouse to a U.S. address typically arrive within 1 to 2 weeks. Orders from our international warehouse arrive in 2 to 6 weeks. Pre-order and Custom Shop kits take longer (pre-orders about 3 to 6 months, Custom Shop about 8 months), with the timeline shown on the product page. Every order is tracked from dispatch to your doorstep.

Contact us with a photo or short video within 30 days and we'll make it right with a replacement part, a partial refund, or a full refund, whichever fits best. Yes. We offer a 14-Day Satisfaction Guarantee on in-stock kits. If you haven't opened or started the build, return it within 14 days of delivery for a full refund (you cover return shipping). Custom Shop orders are made to order and are excluded, see our Refund Policy for their terms.
