Received the goods, overall I must say i'm excited to get it built. I picked up some sand paper from 400 to 1500 grit. I ended up only using the 1500 grit after I raised the grain....view more (sponge cleaned it with damp sponge) then sanded the high points off. then applied a stain to it. the wiring is mostly done for you. not that it's a challenge for me. but for the beginner you might want to watch a few videos before wiring it. This one will end up being my most expensive guitar once built. and will probably be my most expensive electric guitar I own. I'm more attracted to acoustic, but their way harder and finicky to make. I did have to do some extra sanding on the plastic binding to assure a smooth transition between the wood and the body. but it's part of the fun of building it isn't it. view less

I've only had this kit 2 days, but it's impressed me so far.
The shipment arrived in a timely manner, intact, and the company has kept touch through emails throughou...view moret the process. The guitar (I hesitate to call it a kit, it's so nearly completed) is pretty nice; the materials and workmanship were better than I expected. The neck fit is just about perfect. The maple veneer is maybe a B or a nice looking C+ grade. I have some studs which are a snug slip fit in the pre-drilled holes for the bridge so I was able to check the neck alignment with low and high E strings, I couldn't detect any misalignment. The mahogony neck is well made and was practically dead straight out of the box. The frets look pretty good, it even looks like they leveled them already, but I haven't checked that yet. I like the "styled" headstock shape.
The electronics don't matter much to me. I'd planned to use a Seymour Duncan Jeff Beck and a DiMarzio Multibucker I have already, and also intend to change the controls anyway.
Overall I'd give these guys an A: it's hard to find any problems with the product or the service.
